Concept development
After confirming focus on the housing problem in Hong Kong, I started to think of the main message I would like to bring in.
Shortage of land supply, poor living environment, high rent and land price are many people concern, and we all know the problem very well. So I don't see how can I inspire people or what is my mean to mention it.
At the same time, the chief executive's 2018 policy address is released and evoke lots of public attention, particularly the area of housing and and supply. One of the proposal is Lantau Tomorrow. It is a huge project to raise land supply in a long term and it can foster economic development. However, public concern about the cost efficiency and the government planing to promote sustainability and healthy green life.
It is very interesting for me. If you ask me at the beginning, I cannot answer you I am the supporter or the advocate of the controversial project. When I am doing more and more research, noticing the pros and cons, it is harder for me to decide. However, it is worth to think about it.
Above is the contradiction/ideas of the issue.

To further develop my concern about the perspective to analyse the project, I used laser cut to prototype some of it.
I kind of like playing with the controversy. However, what is my presentation? A light box? How can I apply the pattern and deliver a message in an aesthetic way?
I started of going back to the beginning, asking myself why and what I have to do in the project.
